On the Tuesday Brekkie Show this coming week, Taryn and I chat to the organizer of the Chillout Festival Doug Pollard to get the low down on what's on this year. ChillOUT is one of those things I personally always hope to get along to each year, but due to being lazy I miss out on doing so. Well this year I'm taking a stand, and after doing the same thing during the Midsumma Festival in January (promising myself I would go to more festival events this year, and then not doing so) I figure I need to put words into action this time around.
We will be asking Doug what we can expect to be different this time around and how progress is being made on the final touches. Plus we will also give you a chance to ask Doug questions yourself. Was there something you didn't like about the Carnival perhaps last year that you want to voice your opinion on?
Tune into the Tuesday Brekkie Show from 6am to 9am this coming Tuesday for the low down on the ChillOUT Festival 2009.
Interview for Chillout is currently planned for 7:45

Taryn and Jase now on Facebook.
Well finally Taryn and I give into peer pressure and start a Facebook group for the Tuesday Brekkie Show. We would love you to be a part of it to keep up to date with what's coming up on the show in the weeks to come, and have your say on the direction of the show. We would love you to take part so get on 'the book' now, jump to the 'groups' section and search for 'Tuesday Brekky Show' and you will hopefully be able to find it with little hassle.

In other news we are still trying to make final adjustments to the new format and we are getting great feedback from you. What we are hearing is that you rather the request hour being from 7am rather than 6am as most of you are up after 7, and enjoying the slight changes we have made to the play list in general. Join our facebook group and keep letting us know what YOU want. It's your show too!!... and even more so if you are a JOY Member... radiothon's not far away so keep it in mind.

In the Summertime when the weather is..
Hey Guys, Jasey here.
Can you believe the week we have just lived through. Outstanding, and we survived it. It was quite a test. Reaching 45 degrees in Melbourne making it one of the hottest days since records began round 100 years ago Melbournian's did everything they could to stay warm.
But as the hot days continued to come, the heat brought out the worst in people. Now working in a gaming venue you come across many colourful people at the best of times. But once lunch time had passed yesterday it seems that the heat had finally taken it's toll on these folk.
I was coping abuse left right and centre, though running around like a chicken with its head cut off I still managed to piss patrons off. Now it's a hard task to choose 'bogan of the day' when so many were in the running but I have narrowed it two to two lucky men.
Shall I choose the man that told me I 'could at least smile' when serving him although the venue had no air conditioning as a result of the 16 hour blackout we had just come out of, or will I hand the title over to the man refused entry for being drunk and under dressed? (Drum roll please).. and the winner of 'Bogan of the Day is' (unwraps envelope) Refused Entry Guy!!!!.. who decided the only way he could have his say on the situation was to pick up the large Metal 'Please sign in here if you are a guest' sign and throw it at my managers head. Hmmm yes.
Enjoy the cool change guys.
P.S. Look out for some pics I took on Friday during Melbourne's hottest day. They are really great because they are the usual overcrouded places round town but were actually deserted due the the extreme weather conditions.
