Trivia Night

Advocacy, not apathy
Jase says,
Lifted from lawyersforanimals.org.au..
Classed as property, animals have no legal voice; they need lawyers to advocate for them. Lawyers for Animals Inc. seeks to strengthen Australia's protection of animals through education and law.

Lawyers for Animals Inc is a volunteer-based organisation that seeks to improve the welfare of animals through education and law. They work with politicians and make submissions on Acts, Regulations,Codes of Practice and other laws and policies affecting animals.

My partner David is the president of the organisation and I want to support him and the group by letting you know about a fundraising event 'Lawyers for Animals' are holding in February. You may have heard the Community Service Announcment played on JOY over the last week or so for the event.

LFA are holding their first ever trivia night on Wednesday the 18th of February,6.00pm for 6.30pm start at 'The Apartment' 401-405 Little Bourke Street
Melbourne
Tables are of 5 to 10 people at a cost of $15 per person
All proceeds go to Lawyers for Animals. If you are interested in joining my table, or even getting your own table together on the night let me know. email me at jasong@joy.org.au

Any left over tickets will be available at the door on the night, but don't risk it.
Come along for a fun night of trivia, games and prizes!

For me information on the organisation vist the website,
www.lawyersforanimals.org.au, and listen out for David on The Tuesday Brekkie Show talking about the group and the fund raising event in the next week or so.

Taryn & Jase back in 2009

Jase says,
Hey guys it's great to be back again for 2009!
The Tuesday Brekkie Show crew are working hard on ideas for the new season and we really hope it pays off for you guys in the new year.
We have already discussed ideas for new segments such as one that I am very excited about, 'The Tuesday Tossbag'. Though not yet confirmed and given the green light I felt it nessesary to give you guys an outlet for expressing your desire to 'dob in' those unruly tossbags.

We all have those moments when we overhear them (tossbags) and though extreamly embarassing for them and you, we know you need to share you horror. And yes I do know that it opens the door to a continuous line of text messages telling me that I am 'King of the Tossbags' but we don't need to read them out on air :)

The second segment in the works is another goodie... 'Umm, what just happened' A forum for embarassing moments much like those experienced on a weekly basis during the Tuesday Brekkie Show. Usually at a birthday celebration or dinner party and in conversation with someone you just met, you will often experience an 'Umm, what just happened' moment.

But here's where I pass on to you guys. Taryn and I would love to here your thoughts on the show, what you like what you don't like, things you would like for us to do and cover weekly on the show. Because at the end of the day we get up early each Tuesday to have fun and give you guys an uplifting start to the day.

We look forward to hearing from you all!

PeaceOUT. Jase
