TUESDAY BREKKY SHOW 'MUMMY' SPECIAL THIS WEEK.

This week Taryn and Jase celebrate Brendan Frasier's return to the big screen with the latest installment of 'The Mummy' series, 'Tomb of the Dragon Emperor'.

Jase and Taz were lucky enough last week to chat to both Brendan and his hunky aussie co-star Luke Ford on the red carpet at the Melbourne premier, at Hoyts Melbourne central.

Jase got a little lost for words when the stars made their way down the red carpet.
"The moment I saw them I just froze up. I am pretty confident interviewing people on the radio either on the phone or opposite me in the studio, but when someone like Brendan Fraiser is standing a foot in front of you and giving you his best aussie bloke impresonation, my legs went to Jelly and I threw the microphone to Taryn."

Lucky for Taryn, as she is absolutely in love with the Hollywood mega-star, and it showed when she asked him out for a drink after the premier. Ummm, are you not seeing someone at the moment Taryn?

Make sure you tune into Taryn and Jase's "Mummynificient Mummy Special" on Tuesday September 2 at 7:30am while you get ready for your day ahead to hear what went down, and get your chance to win a double past to the advance screening in a couple weeks!

Check out the Red Carpet pics! Coming Soon!

TARYN AND JASE WELCOME MICHELE TO THE TEAM!

Taryn and Jase welcome the very talented Iron Chef Shellie (Michele) to the team. Michele is an all round superstar with talents so broad they range from designing Graphic Arts material to designing scrumptious foods that leave you wanting more, more MORE!...

Combining the two at the beginning of the year, Shellie decided to create an online blog to share her love of food with the world and it is magnificent! You can view her marvelous work at ironchefshellie.blogspot.com from the right of our website. It will be a permanent feature.

The good news is that each week Iron Chef Shellie will be providing friends of Taryn and Jase with one kick ass recipe that is sure to satisfy your tastebuds.

To kick things off, a recent gathering took place at 'Jase's Place' Camberwell. The mission, to learn how to cook the thai sensation 'Pad Thai'. Jase and his partner Dave were dying to learn how to make Pad Thai after their trip last summer to Thailand. Though a good Pad Thai only cost them $1.40 (aussie) in MBK shopping centre in Bangkok, Jase was disapointed to find the cheapest alternative in Melbourne for around $8.00 :P (Remembering Jase is a tight ass)

Jase was plesantly supprised to see how cheap he could cook it up at home. Take a look at what happenned.

This weekend Iron Chef David, Jason and Robert and I had a challenge: to try and make one of our favourite Thai dishes, Pad Thai.

We headed down to Doncaster Shopping Town yet again for another tea at T2. We had about 4 different recipes to choose from, so we decided to go with the one that required the least about of hard to find ingredients. After a nice cuppa tea we went on the hunt for our ingredients. We weren't too sure how well we would go with no Asian grocers in the the area.

First stop was a massive deli / green grocer / butcher, yet we couldn't find any bean sprouts or noodles. The only thing we did find was tofu.
Second stop was the Coles next door which also did not have any bean sprouts!
So luckily there was a Safeway that had beansprouts and all the other weird ingredients we thought we would have trouble finding; for example - tamarind paste.

When we got back home, David and I turned into the wives and got busy in the kitchen, whilst the 'husbands' were busy fiddling with the TV.

David began with liberating the tofu from it's tofu juice and chopping it up whilst I began on the sauce.
We ended up doubling the sauce quantity but it wasn't enough, so after the noodles had cooked we ended up making more. The sauce was pretty bland until we found some sweet chilli sauce in the pantry, which helped bring the dish to life.

As I plated up the noodles, David turned into a head chef and garnished the dishes before they were sent out of the kitchen. Our garnishes include: extra bean sprouts, ground peanuts (which we also had problems finding), coriander, spring onions and a wedge of lime.
The dish wasn't too hard to cook, and it tasted pretty good for our first attempt at cooking Pad Thai. My compliments to the chefs!

JASE> TUESDAY BREKKY SHOW UPDATE!

Hello Again! Don't forget to make your vote count, for 'A or B' that is. 'A or B' happens around 7:35 each week depending on how organised Taryn and myself are.. OK. Taryn's fine and I'm always off editing audio things instead of co-hosting our show. LMAO! Simply look to the top right hand side of the page and click on which song you want us to play for 'A or B' this week. Your Choices this week are between The Black Eyed Peas, or No Doubt. Would you believe No Doubts 'It's my life' was about to make it's way into the charts this time back in 2003! How far we've all come in five years. 'Shut up' wasn't too far away from climbing the charts around the world after their massive hit 'Where is the love' finished high up on the Aussie Singles chart in '03

More Tuesday Brekky Show updates this week. Keep coming back to visit!! Jase x0x

Jase > MY NOT SO SECRET OBSESSION.

You guys already know that I am one for fine music, well this one is no exception. These guys are now my favorite band, yes sad but true. I am the number one Super Junior fan in Australia. It's really a fab mix when you think about it. Pop music and 13 spunky Korean boys in one group!!!... need I say more?

Super Junior are going from strength to strength in Asia winning awards left right and centre and dominating the chats in countires such as Korea, Thailand and China.

Enjoy their latest installment, 'Cooking? Cooking!' to translate, the song is basically about one of the boys having a girlfriend that is a terrible cook. It doesn't matter how cute she is, the food is awful, even though apparently she is at cooking school!
