Last week saw the launch of our latest CD, JOY Volume Six, and what an occasion it was. Anthony Defina, Ricki Lee, spunky boys on the catwalk the gorgeous JOY ladies modeling in the Hat Parade and Taryn and Jase's first ever attempts at being live MC's. The guys did a great job and to Jason's surprise things went almost without a drama.
"Oh god, I was so nervous. I was THAT freaked out before going out onto that stage at xchange, then I was the first time I went on live radio back in 2004. When you are in a studio in front of a microphone it becomes second nature, you know you are with people in their cars or at home with them while they are eating their toast, but there's less pressure in a way. When you are about to walk up onto the stage for the first time and you know a good two or three hundred people are there and watching you, it isn't easy."
Regardless of the nerves the guys did a great job, but Jase stumbled early on and within minutes had the crowd laughing, at him rather than with him.
"yeah, I got up there and the first line I had to say, I stuffed it up I said GOOD MORNING TARYN, rather than good evening. How embarrassing."
But the show went on. JOY 94.9 put on a marvelous display and wrapped up the most successful CD launch to date. Thanks to all who were a part of the evening and who came out to support our only Gay and Lesbian radio station, JOY 94.9
JASE SAYS,
I just wish to thank Dan Vo once again for the hard work he put into the launch video. I was asked to produce a quick music mix of songs taken from JOY Volume 6 for the launch and kind of got carried away.(taking approx. 6 hours to produce). My first attempt at mixing music, and Mr Vo's 1st attempt at producing a video presentation. Well done Dan.

So tell me.. when can Chris come in for an up and coming producer?..
I think JOY listeners would LOVE to hear what Chris has to say about dance music and the like. He has so much to offer guys and I know you would love his music.

I'd like to congratulate you both on what a wonderful job y'all did that night! Very fitting hosts of the evening. Dan Vo did a great job with the multimedia of course...
Jade & I would love to be involved at the next CD launch: it's also a secret wish of mine to be featured on a JOY CD. Sigh. Maybe someday: when the pop career's ready to go!
